"Leaves are erect, trumpet-shaped usually with a narrow wing, and measure up to 35 in.(89 cm) in length with a sub erect ovate hood with a flat or slightly revolute edges.Leaves usually appear at flowering or shortly thereafter. Pitcher color varies from greenish to pale color and in strong light, their is red to purple veining with diffuse red coloration on the upper part of the leaf. Few if any soward shaped phyllodilla are produced. When resent, they are usually less then 2/3 the length of summer leaves. Flowers vary from yellow to whitish yellow and have a musty odor. Most people find this plant kind of boring, and arcross most of it's range, it kind of is. Their are some really nice plant though, and are a few color varities. Their are some cut thorat, varites, red, dar red plants that are almost black, and the normal plant. The common name of this plant is the pale pitcher plant. It is called this becuase of it's flower, which is the palest of it's genus. The flowers can be pale yellow to almost white. Photo By Mike Wang
