Problem is it is the middle of October and they show no sign of going into dormancy.

Is that because it's so warm there or because you are so close to the equator? I've heard of some people moving their plants to a cellar just so the plants can become dormant. How about moving them inside or under more of a cover?

I live in Southern California so I don't think I am close to the equator but the weather has been off, today it is 82 and it is 11:16 in the morning but it has gone down into the upper 50's at night, I leave my plants out year round, no basements and no room to move 47 plants inside, last year I could tell they were going dormant but not this year, they are still flowering, no seeds but flowers still growing, just wanted to post here and show off.
